Start an Arizona LLC

Forming an LLC in Arizona is cheaper and simpler than most states. Here is the whole process, plus the one step our Gilbert address lets you skip.

$50
state fee

An Arizona LLC gives your business a legal shell that separates your personal money from the company. The state fee is low, there is no annual report, and the paperwork is short. You do need a statutory agent with a physical Arizona address, and that is where we come in.

What does it cost to start an LLC in Arizona?

Fifty dollars to file your Articles of Organization with the Arizona Corporation Commission. Outside Maricopa and Pima County you also pay a one-time newspaper publication fee of $60 to $300.

That is the state side. A statutory agent service like ours runs $9.99 a year, every year. From our Gilbert office you skip the publication fee, so your real startup cost stays close to $60 total. See the full cost breakdown.

The Steps to Form Your LLC

Pick a name, name a statutory agent, file the Articles of Organization online, deal with publication, get an EIN, and write an operating agreement. Most owners finish the filing in an afternoon.

  1. Pick a name. It has to be unique in Arizona and end with LLC or a legal variation. Search the name on the Arizona Business Center portal before you file.
  2. Name your statutory agent. Arizona law requires a physical street address in the state, open during business hours. A P.O. Box will not work. Use our Gilbert address and keep your home off the record.
  3. File the Articles of Organization. File online at the Arizona Business Center portal (arizonabusinesscenter.azcc.gov) and pay the $50 fee. This portal replaced the old eCorp system in January 2026.
  4. Handle publication. Most new LLCs publish a formation notice for three straight weeks. If your agent sits in Maricopa or Pima County, you are exempt. Ours does.
  5. Get an EIN. Apply free with the IRS. You need it to open a bank account and hire people.
  6. Write an operating agreement. Arizona does not require one, but a bank often will, and it settles who owns what.

Where do you file the paperwork?

Online at the Arizona Business Center, the Arizona Corporation Commission portal at arizonabusinesscenter.azcc.gov. It went live in January 2026 and replaced the older eCorp filing site.

Approval usually takes a few business days at standard speed. The Commission offers expedited handling for an added fee if you are in a hurry.

Do Arizona LLCs file an annual report?

No. Arizona does not require LLCs to file an annual report or pay a yearly state fee. Corporations do file one, and we can handle that for you.
